Shure's PG56 is a compact drum microphone used for close miking. It is ideal for snares and toms. The tailored frequency response is smooth and extended, tuned specifically for drum applications. Its cardioid polar pattern picks up the most sound from in front of the microphone and some sound from the sides, making it ess susceptible to feedback in high volume settings. The PG56's dynamic cartridge has a simple, rugged coil which handles extreme volume levels without distortion. The cartridge includes a neodymium magnet for high output level.
